| DESIGN NAME: Yanlan Resort Hotel PRIMARY FUNCTION: Resort Hotel INSPIRATION: We adopt an attitude of respect and prudence to the local culture and the villagers. By sorting and renovating the original messy farm houses and sites, we try to create a life style of buildings in a symbiosis with the surrounding environment and in harmonious co-existence with the local villagers.The whole plan and the interior renovation of the buildings have preserved the essence of the original folk houses in northern Guizhou. Innovative measures were taken for some parts. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Located in Meitan, Guizhou, Yanlan Resort Hotel is transformed from a dozen of dilapidated farmhouses scattered in a natural village. The hotel lies deep in the beautiful mountains and waters in northern Guizhou. The project begins with the transformation of the old peasant house, sorts the space between the houses and demolishes and expanding some old houses into restaurants and venues for the gatherings of the guests. Gray iron plate SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: - TAGS: - RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: As the overall planner and designer of this project, we have such major considerations: how to look at the tradition and the present, how to make the local culture, natural environment, surrounding villagers co-exist naturally and harmoniously with the hotel project.
