| DESIGN NAME: 17 Mile Coffee PRIMARY FUNCTION: Cafe INSPIRATION: From the extraordinary perseverance and tenacious optimism conveyed in the ups and downs of the story, the design refines and interprets humanity's eternal pursuit of the unknown challenge and the spirit of never-ending progress with a unique artistic perspective. The key to the design is to create a series of fascinating scenes for the exploration of space. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Life is a Journey of Discovery. The distance I can keep from the world: 17 Miles. In the face of the vast Pacific Ocean, you suddenly feel that you have a unique posture that can maintain an appropriate distance from the world. The investors and designers in this case hope to integrate the precious gift of nature and its spiritual connotation into the space. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Abundant books are cleverly displayed and create a wonderful atmosphere under the warm yellow light. Sitting by the window and enjoying a cup of coffee, your mind can explore in the vast sea of knowledge to pursue and preserve the truest self. Coffee is the most delicious spiritual food in the world, and the unrestrained 17-mile cafe is like the soul of the city. In the urban hustle and bustle, it sends forth not only the air of relaxation, but also the dream of a beautiful and free life. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Whether at the physical or psychological level, guests are gradually feeling the emotional germination, resonance and retrospect of this journey. The hull stainless steel is coordinated with the materials such as cables and leather to interpret the cultural characteristics that are in line with the environmental theme, and injects diversified vitality into the cafe. The design draws on the traditional ship's sidelights, rudders and other elements, and transform them into artistic installations in the space, triggering more imagination of the guests. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 560 square meters TAGS: pursuit, exploration, nature, journey, ship, relaxation, red brick, courage RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The strong and steady red brick wall is fully utilized in space, as the classic architectural style of Boston, the oldest city in the United States. It interprets the sense of history and also creates a stylish ambiance. The combination of red brick, plain grey cement and wooden flooring brings warmth and natural energy. The overall layout has an open and coherent rhythm, with different functional modules divided by metal mesh partitions running through to form interesting layers in space. Moving along the concise black staircase into another window, the illusion and mystery of the surreal vision in the front carries the explorer's infinite expectation of the unknown, and echoes the courage and yearning for adventure. CHALLENGE: It is worth mentioning that the artistic interpretation of the symbolic cypress from the 17 mile coast of California which has been on the rocks that broke into the ocean for intensive 250 years, without moving by waves as if outside the world and constantly rejuvenating its strength. Do not race against time, only enjoy the pleasure of tranquility and exploration. In such a time in the cafe, you will reconsider and discover the meaning of life.
