| DESIGN NAME: Woods Casting PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential INSPIRATION: Tucked away beside the blooming parkland, comes to the selection of a rich greenery and culturally mixed location. “Housing” is referred as an everyday life container but also as a memory stick, fulfilling our desire to create more treasure moments via a well thought design established in a period of careful production. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In a long stretched space, horizontal axis extends throughout every facade and windows of the house. In addition, a refined metal sliding door redefines the boundary and further extends the vision, capturing the neighbouring vegetation into every corner of the space. Natural lighting and materials are the two key factors of the house; a wide floor to ceiling window allows residents to observe the transition of light and shadow throughout the whole 24 hours. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project started in March 2017 in Taichung City, Taiwan and finished in December 2017. NAME: Private Residence PROFILE: Tucked away beside the blooming parkland, comes to the selection of a rich greenery and culturally mixed location. “Housing” is referred as an everyday life container but also as a memory stick, fulfilling our desire to create more treasure moments via a well thought design established in a period of careful production. In a long stretched space, horizontal axis extends throughout every facade and windows of the house. In addition, a refined metal sliding door redefines the boundary and further extends the vision, capturing the neighbouring vegetation into every corner of the space. Natural lighting and materials are the two key factors of the house; a wide floor to ceiling window allows residents to observe the transition of light and shadow throughout the whole 24 hours. Refined texture reflected on the metal door accompanied with grey marble and warm timber hues, up brings our visual sensation to our tactile sensation. Each interaction is creating another memory, immersing yourself within a ritual creation. Curved ceiling allows the space, the movement, the scale, each relation, functionality and aesthetic to evoke the delicacy of the space together on one continuous curve line. |
