| DESIGN NAME: A Simple Life PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: Refuses the use of flashy sophistication with simple design techniques, creates quality and cozy residential atmosphere. Home, a harbor far away from the hubbub. We want to return to the simpler and comfortable living style. We want to keep the best part, where the lines left in the end mark the exquisite living aesthetics and profoundness. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project is based on the design theme of pure simplicity, where simple and well-executed design language can be seen throughout the entire space, yet still keeping the temperature of living. The main black, white and grey tone is smoothened by the original wood color tone, while the mutual blending of different materials creates a contrasting yet harmonious quality. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This project depicts the spatial area, form and function using simplified lines, where exquisite ingenious ideas are added to certain places, the human-oriented design obeys the principles of purity, which is implemented on the material selection and constructional aspect; there is no need for high profiled and luxurious excessive design, as returning to the actualization of material quality reflects the house owners unique individual characteristic of emphasis on details and aesthetics. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Main constructional materials: Marble, iron piece, special paint, thin slab stone, veneer, mirror SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: This space is 196 square meters. TAGS: Interior Design , Residential House , Taiwan , Tree House Design RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The story begins with a photo. The proprietor is a newlywed couple, natural light pours into the living room with one sofa, a sweet and nice photo is the origin for the design of this project. What one sees at the entrance is the architectural concrete with distinctive style, setting the overall dignified and conservative design theme; the living room is decorated with low furniture to allow the free flow of natural light and air. The study room adopted open-style layout, extended from the living room to form spacious and comfortable resting space. The linear chandelier in the dining room and the large geometric wall style put together by hand ingeniously corresponds each other, simple and warm colored original wood long table is used, where the different arrangement allow the dining environment with more power. The bedroom and bathroom use dignified grey color tone to create the exquisite and pleasing sleeping space. The living room introduces natural light, which is decorated with warm wooden texture to correspond with the overall leisurely living sentiment. CHALLENGE: Before entering the dining room on the right, a stack of Hinoki wood corresponding to the fireplace, in order to completely present this design, the entire company members went to a factory in the rural mountain area and hacked each piece by hand with unskilled technique. In exchange of sweat is the pleasing wood scent that welcomes people before entering the dining space. What appears to be a gigantic mosaic art painting behind the dining table is actually the outcome of carefully adjusting the line proportions, since the shapes and sizes are different, the master who adhered the thin slab stones had to put in a lot of effort go step-by step in order to complete the picture.
