| DESIGN NAME: The Starry Night PRIMARY FUNCTION: Brooch INSPIRATION: This brooch inspiration comes from Van Godh’s"the Starry Night".The shining stars can be seen through transparent wings of dragonflies while it is flying in the night sky.The designer use diamonds to present the shining stars,vortex on the winds make the flying dynamic so lively. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Every piece of Titanium has experienced more than 5 months to Fixed shapes and coloring.Making process also included crafting,carving jade,polishing and assembling.The entire process is all handmade.Every piece is unique in shape and no two are exactly the same. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This brooch is made of titanium,so it is very light,can be hung on clothes,can also be used as accessories for high-grade dresses,device in gloves,can also be placed on the shoulders of dresses. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in 12-2017,finished in 04-2018,Shenzhen,China. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: the Jewelry is made of titanium,hetian jade,yellow diamond and diamond SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: the brooch is about 114*11*13mm TAGS: titanium,jade,Hand-m RESEARCH ABSTRACT: My jewelry feature is the integration of sculpture and Hetian jade into jewelry design,the combination of Chinese traditional carving jade and Western jewelry.So I'm innovating my artistic style,and I hope more people can see that Chinese traditional carving jade can also be very fashionable. CHALLENGE: Fixed shapes and coloring of titanium,This process requires close attention.Any careless handling could cause damage on the titanium. Carving the Jade also is very difficulty,the broken jade are very unlikely to bond together properly again once they got damaged.
