| DESIGN NAME: Open and Close PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: Most of the inspiration comes from the users. By communicating and interacting with the users, the space concepts are created to perfect the users' lifestyle. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Rotatable door leaves are designed at the foyer as the main concept of this case. Generally, both door leaves are placed overlapped as a grille. Closing the entrance side, it provides the privacy from the foyer. By closing both door leaves, it isolates the living room, and transforms into a guest house. Connected together, the study and dining room make an important gathering place for family. Alongside the walkway, the transparent sliding doors and blinds separate the guest and private area. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Through constant discussion and planning to overcome all the obstacle. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in December 2017, and finished in June 2018, located at Taichung City in Taiwan. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: wood veneer, solid wood, stone, landscape SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 205 square meters TAGS: flexible space, between, low chroma, modern RESEARCH ABSTRACT: By spatial planning and organizing the space, the harmonious spaces are created. As the landscape sets from indoors to outdoors, the furniture and decorations provide new distinctive way of living.
