| DESIGN NAME: New York Dream PRIMARY FUNCTION: Performing Art Studio INSPIRATION: Our Client studied drama in New York in his 20s, overcoming the hardships of strangers in another countries After returned to his hometown Taipei, decided to set up a drama studio with passion. The designer captured the memories of New York image ,and collected those elements into the corners of the studio. Bring New York through the space, the enthusiasm of the owners is passed on to the dreams of the new generation. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is an totally personalized performing art studio for our Client, who wants here to be a open place for students and teachers communicate openly ,with his own heart ,the design was throw back to the New York Scene that reminds him don't forget the motivation of art, and designers also solve the problem that original house's disadvantages . OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The classroom attempts to focus the attention on the emotions and strengths conveyed by the people, remove the color interference, let the users focus on their own training in the space, and devote themselves wholeheartedly; in this space carrying the dream stage, communicate and dialogue with each other. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: By using white walls, black screens, mirrors, and different lighting modes, we want to decrease the affection of the color, By using glass penetration, the space barrier is invisible, and it also solve the sense of urgency of the space. And by adjusting the aisle to the central axis, people can easily accessing the space, and let their energy of creation flow and spread throughout the entire studio. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 128 square meters . TAGS: Performing art, Studio, New York, Movie scene, Classroom RESEARCH ABSTRACT: By using white walls, black screens, mirrors, and different lighting modes, we want to decrease the affection of the color. CHALLENGE: The studio was originally a 40-year-old house. The floor height was subject to conditions and pressure. The comfort and mobility of many people were taken into consideration. According to the original layout, the spaces were closed to each other, and the lighting and ventilation in the middle section were not ideal. By using glass penetration, the space barrier is invisible, and it also solve the sense of urgency of the space. And by adjusting the aisle to the central axis, people can easily accessing the space, and let their energy of creation flow and spread throughout the entire studio.
