| DESIGN NAME: Wuhan Greenland Hotel Apartment PRIMARY FUNCTION: Hotel Apartment INSPIRATION: The cities in central China are often entrusted with the mission to conduct dialogues with the surrounding geographic space in the four directions. As a landmark in central China, the main building of the Wuhan Greenland Center clearly expresses its connection with the surrounding environmental systems, while the design concept of its interiors integrates the Chinese and Western living cultures from the past to the present, based on the continuation of architectural expression. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In this project, the spatial relationship is stripped into two levels: One is the layout of the environment and buildings, and the other is the abstract enclosure of the interior and the environment. Integrated and arranged organically into the streamlines of the lobby are such traditional oriental elements as flowers and trees, landscape windows, gradual steps, stone trails, courtyards, and so on. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Although it is a temporary reception area and display area for the show house, we have never slackened its design. Instead, we have extended the interior design concept to the whole project by attaching pavilions and corridors to such functional areas as entrances, rest areas, negotiation areas, art spaces, model corridors, and so on, making them look like the scenes in the Eastern classical courtyard or ancient residency being immersed in the mountains and streams. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The rich layers of ash and mint green colors not only give the space a noble texture but also make it simple and fashionable. The soft or rigid lines and materials not only echo the rhythm of the design theme of “high mountains and flowing water” but also brew the philosophical thought of time and existence. The entire show house creates the co-existence of elegance and modernity. When a lot of blank space is reserved, people appear to feel comfortable in such a space, ignoring aesthetic fatigue in the era of material maximization. The use of elegant white color, natural wood grain, freehand ink, simple but capable lines, and modern block-like design techniques has led to the utmost creation of a quiet and elegant beauty in the Chinese style. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The drapery and accessories are all made of high-quality materials and arranged in a simple but streamlining process, making each product adorable and the overall space full of memorable artistic temperament. It seems that you can appreciate such a space from every angle. On the other hand, the overall spatial style of the modern minimalism, the use of high-quality materials, and the spatial planning full of changes and humanity also make the functionality of the space worthy of your finest appreciation.
