| DESIGN NAME: Happyland Kid's Club PRIMARY FUNCTION: Xiamen China Happyland INSPIRATION: The tenant interior space of this project is a very spacious place with 8 meter clear height and approximately 1000 square meter of space. The idea of The Whale Island came from the size of the whale, which as designer we believe a great space with the largest sea creature and blend in with kid's games and activities will be an amazing design. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The main theme of this project is to blend in the story of Whale Island to kids club design. In 2518, earth's resources are becoming so limited. Animals and sea creatures are finding new genes where human beings are accepting the fact to live happily together with animals and sea creatures. As one of the most famous tourist spot on earth, Gulangyu Island in Xiamen was taken over by the Whale. Our concept is to present the futuristic vision of Gulangyu in Xiamen, the whale island, where human beings and whales are best friends and becoming the most fun and entertaining kids friendly island on earth. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: A Light Emitting Diode (Led) is a device consisting of a semiconductor that emits light energy when an electrical current is passed through it. Led's can be used for a wide range of lighting applications. It is predicted that Led lights are the future for energy-efficient home lighting. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project concept design started in May 2018 in Shanghai. The project will be completed and opened in Xiamen on November 2018. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Whale tail use super lighting Led screen and the kids club full of projection games. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Whale tail super lighting Led screen is 5 meter wide by 3 meter high. TAGS: Kids club, HappyLand, Whale island, Art in the Sea, Modern graphic with fun RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The project is in Xiamen city, China. The city is known for its mild climate, Hokkien culture and Gulangyu Island, as well as its relatively low pollution. Gulangyu Island is a pedestrian only island off the coast of Xiamen, Fujian province in southern eastern China. A Unesco World Cultural Heritage Site, the island is about 2 square kilometer in area, and is reached by a 5 minute ferry ride from downtown Xiamen. Our design is inspired by the project geographical location, the ocean, ocean life and earth's resources. CHALLENGE: The hardest part of whale island design is to work out the appearance of the shopfront look within the parameter of the shopping mall developer guideline and coordinate with the develop to delete the advertisement panel at the upper side of shopfront glass so our led screen whale tail can face in front of glass. The biggest challenges we face is how to utilize the 8 meter clear space as fire code in china will not allow us to build mezzanine because of fire escape requirements.
