| DESIGN NAME: Synthesis Triangle Stud Earring PRIMARY FUNCTION: Stud Earring INSPIRATION: This Geometric Earring from the Synthesis collection was designed for the Canadian Brand, Kate Hewko. The main idea behind the design brief was to come up with a geometric/architectu UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Geometric triangle earring is designed in such a way so as to give a bold look for the modern woman of today. This is a perfect pair for any occasion. The design has been created using concentric triangle metal frames. The Dendrite Agate Triangle Cut Stone compliments the design by breaking away the concentric triangles. It looks simple yet elegant on the ear. The design is minimal yet statement, clean yet detailed. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Easily wearable on the ear PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Designed by Harsha Jayasankar (Mumbai, India) for Kate Hewko (Canada) in 2017 |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Base metal: Brass (gold plated and rhodium plated) Stone: Dendrite agate SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: outer dimension: 30mm x 38mm TAGS: jewelry design, fashion, product design, accessory design, earrings, pattern design RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The client wanted to use a different semi precious stone apart from the usual ones that are used extensively. The stone should also be neutral for the customer to wear with any kind of attire. That is how we decided to use Dendrite Agate. CHALLENGE: Geometry can sometimes be monotonous. The key objective to create a good geometric design is to maintain a balance while using a certain pattern. The collection is minimal yet statement looking. The shapes used in this collection are simple ones like squares and triangles. The way they are interpreted in the designs make them unique.
