| DESIGN NAME: The Shelter PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: A forest wraps a house, a house wraps some rooms, where the connection of spaces wrap the house owner and his family. The designer said. The hostess favors calligraphy and the host takes pleasure in collecting artworks, so the style of the mountain residence in the suburbs of Taipei focuses on nature, humanism and emotions. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A 35-year-old duplex mountain villa is removed from its old structure and deepened its horizontal and vertical line, which aims to probe the field relationship between the surroundings and transparency and builds multi layer cubism, whose successive and gradual proceeding is in harmony with the nature. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: A 35-Year-Old House, the Interior Design for Duplex House. On the second floor, a large window is installed in the master bedroom. With precisely calculating the angle, it avoids looking straight into the master bedroom from any location on the first floor. Through a cabinet with multi functional storage, it gives a sharp and clean impression. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in January 2018 and finished in April 2018 in Taipei city. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The TV cabinet plays the main role in the space, which adopts the concept of kitchen island to create six traffic flow area and functions along with foyer, living room, dining room, kitchen, countertop and study. It is equipped with multilateral design and multi function and integrates the function of dining table into the cabinet. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Indoor space approximately 160 square feet. TAGS: sloped roof, multi-functional, duplex House, mountain villa RESEARCH ABSTRACT: As for the details of interior design, the emphasis is put on the room divider, dealt with stainless steel knitting. It provides for hanging pictures, planting or photos with precisely calculating the load capacity. It appears to be unique and elegant. What is more, the hollow-out design on the bottom of the divider provides for cleaning as using hi-tech products. CHALLENGE: Due to the high humidity, this old residence has the problem of peeling paint on walls. And it has high ceiling and slanting roof structure. But fortunately designer has its own structure team, who can grasp all the details. This is the reason why the house plan and the construction can be done within 4 months.
