| DESIGN NAME: Qimini Tempo PRIMARY FUNCTION: Portable Wireless Charger INSPIRATION: Qimini tempo's inspiration is true mobility and convenience. An exquisite portable wireless charger designed to help you juice up effortlessly anytime, anywhere. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Qimini tempo is a wireless portable charger supported by qi technology. We made the Qimini Tempo appear like its completely wireless because the wire itself serves as a strap so you can attach your Qimini Tempo into your back packs, belts and etc. and bring it anywhere you want, enabling your mobile devices to be truly mobile. Its edge is surrounded with fabric to allow better ventilation for the charger and has a special mechanism to reduce the heat giving you an extra protection against overheating. Qimini tempo is equipped with type C USB for a fast charging experience. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Qimini tempo is a wireless rechargable charger supported by qi technology. Integrate with a type C USB charging cable and serves as a strap so you can attach Qimini Tempo into your back packs, belts and etc. and bring it anywhere you want. It surrounded with fabric in stylish color conbination to provide better ventilation for the charger but also better touch feeling and look to match with your own personality. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in May 2018 and mass production shall be starting in late 2018. Development and design in Hong Kong. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Qimini Tempo is a Qi certifiable power bank for charging Qi enabled smart phone and tablet. It is rechargable and has 10W of output power with single coil. USB type C female power input. Made of ABS and fabric. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Dimension, Max Diameter: 95mm, Height: 15mm. Net Weight: 120g. Battery Type: Internal rechargeable Lithium-ion Polymer. Qi Transmitter output: 10W, single coil. Power input: Charge Qimini Tempo through USB type C. Qi Certificatied. LED: Show ON/OFF status. Show Qi charging status, charging, end of charge. Show internal battery charge status (charging / not charging). Show internal battery level remaining capacity. Button: ON/OFF push button TAGS: Qimini tempo, Protable charger, Wireless charger, Qi technology RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The market of wireless charging is growing every year. According to Wireless Power Consortium, the growth of Qi technology is the same as Bluetooth. There are 1000 million expected units to be powered by Qi technology in 2020. There are a lot of wireless charger today but lacking its functionality. The main purpose of wireless charger is providing a convenient and accessible power source for mobile devices. This is what Qimini Tempo is focusing on, enabling mobile devices to be truly mobile. Meticulously choosing materials that is safe, elegant and functional is a priority in the creative process. CHALLENGE: The challenge for creating the design is incorporating the type C USB and charging coil in a neat manner making the charger as compact as possible. We also had trouble with reducing the heat of the charger that's why we made the edges fabric to allow cooling system by a better ventilation.
