| DESIGN NAME: Interpretation of New Asian Styling PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residence INSPIRATION: As the client couple are avid enthusiasts of Chinese and Western cultures, traveling and all sorts of arts collection, they hope, through this renovation, to artistically place and fuse all personal collections, paintings, travel souvenirs, favorite classic furniture, etc., into the new space, in the spirit of the fusion of cultures of the east and west, while manifesting their unique artistic articulations. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: As compared to creativity, culture is the key to imbue the space with artistic values and interpretation of aesthetics in original creativity. As the conception of this project was to gain a deep understanding of the characteristics of different cultures, before fusing them to create an unprecedented new style, the design team mixed and matched multiple elements according to the preference and expectation of the clients, in the re-interpretation of the fusion of the east and west. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The purpose of spatial design is not just to elevate the joy of the visual and sensory experiences but to refer to the practical purpose in the lives of people, which include the three-bedroom layout while reducing the proportion of redundant walkway to gain the most optimal floor usage ratio, and secondly, the design team highlighted the functional creativity within the aesthetics, so that design and living functionality and aesthetics come together in unison. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: In order to echo with the profound aesthetics understanding of the clients, each part of the designed space articulates with craft tradition in its own way, so firstly, with the surface of the elongated walkway, it was given a mosaic treatment of a hand-drawn fortune tree motif in gold foil. Secondly, more than half of the wall surface in the entire public area is covered with elegant gloss classic panel, in setting the tone for the modern classic styling. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: For the purpose of borrowing the external greenery into the interior, the design team deliberately elevated the floor level of balcony floor at the full-height windows, so as to allow the seasonal changes and swaying beauty of the plants to become part of the window scenery. The same can be said of some of the hidden detailing, such as the centralized digitally integrated home life management system installed throughout the entire residence. TAGS: New Asia Styling, Oriental And Western Cultures, Spatial Artistry, Italian Styling, French Extravagant Elegance RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Through meticulous mix-and-match techniques, the contrasting eastern and western cultures spectacularly collided in space, as the sparkling charm lasts as long as the life is made even more exciting and wonderful, in areas such as entrance, living room, dining area, kitchen, and the bedrooms, all of which exhibits a sense of living centered on the appreciation of both Eastern and Western arts. CHALLENGE: The en-suite bathroom of the master bedroom is the area with the most work difficulty, but fortunately, the bathroom space allowed for clear diamond-cut glass sliding door partitioning, coupled with heightened water-stopper wall and stainless steel drainage, etc., so as to ensure dry-wet separation, while the precious colored gemstones were paved on the wall between shower space and bathtub area, as the mosaic work in surfaces of curvature also contributed to the overall difficulty.
