| DESIGN NAME: Bamboo PRIMARY FUNCTION: Collection of Bookcases INSPIRATION: BAMBOO is a collection of bookcases. It is the starting point of this design that I suddenly thought to look at bamboo and think about putting a book in bamboo. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The collection is made up of the wall version that collects bamboo and the free-standing version that can use both sides, and the roll version that can put magazines or newspapers. The wall version and the free-standing version were manufactured to various heights according to the needs of the consumers. The bookcase occupies the minimum space, and the wall version differs from the existing normal bookcases because the shape of the bookcase can not be seen when the book is stacked. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Every product in this collection functions as stack There is a wall version and a free-standing version for stacking books, and there is also a roll version that can be loaded with magazines and newspapers. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in February 2018 in Firenze, Italy and finished in April 2018 in Firenze, Italy, and has not yet been exhibited anywhere. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This is a feature of this design that removes unnecessary shapes and saves minimal lines because it is a bookcase that stacks books differently than the process of inserting a conventional bookstore. It was made of metal material to hold the weight of the book, and the size of the book was minimized in a line that would not hinder the book to make it look as if the bookshelf could not be seen and the book was floating. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: it is made of metal. a piece of stacked part is W21xD12xH23(mm) the base of freestanding version is W35xD35(mm) The part to be fixed to the wall and the part to be fixed to the base of freestanding version shall be fixed with screws. One day, while I was holding my Mac for a while without any thought, my gaze turned to bamboo, and I imagined that I would put a book on bamboo. So I decided to design a bookshelf inspired by bamboo. I wanted to design as beautiful as possible but simple. CHALLENGE: The bottom of the book was the most important problem because I designed the bookcase to stack the books. If the bottom is too big, it is not harmonious when the books are stacked, so I put a lot of effort into finding the right size that will not fall when the books are stacked but also not too big.
