RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This project is set to better inherit and promote traditional Chinese culture. During the preparation process, the researcher spent much time on the field study of Taoism and ceramics culture all by herself. Related museums, kiln chambers, and glaze institutes are frequented. Then plenty of software like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Rhino3D NURBS, etc., are used for preliminary design and modelling. The final outcome of the whole project is the cup-set here, as a total integration of Chinese ceramic tradition and the auspicious culture in Taoism. It can also perform better in decoration, dustproof, space-saving, and storage.
CHALLENGE: The kilning process of ceramics is very difficult. It's challenging to control the color and shape of the production.
