PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Private Airplane
INSPIRATION:
This model is designed for effective usage of interior space. Inspiration for this product was creating spacious interior by using exterior style of Aquila airplanes.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This plane is designed for 4 people’s usage. Because of being able to land and take off in short distances, it can be used in mountainous area where there is a lot of altitude differences. Also, half wings under the main ones provide more balanced gliding. The supporting parts between the main and half wings supply more stability to the main wings. Furthermore, it is lightweight and has a spacious interior design thanks to perforated seating units and high-top glass cover.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
Front seatings can be reached by using front canopy. Back seatings are placed between the sliding back doors. Half wings can be used like stairs to step into the plane.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project was completed in 2018, Ankara, Turkey

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
For the whole body light composite materials are used.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:
Maximum height is 210 centimeters, Maximum length is 830 centimeters. Wingspan of the plane is 10000 centimeters.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
The aim was to design a plane for 4 people by protecting the style of Aquila Airplanes. Therefore, it is studied how to create suitable area for 4 seat inside the plane by using . We intended to have easy usage with the spacious space inside the plane so we did our research through it.
CHALLENGE:
The challenges in design process were increasing performance and durability of the plane and having more spacious and useful interior design without breaking brand identity.
