| DESIGN NAME: Parrot PRIMARY FUNCTION: Ring INSPIRATION: The Megaron Collection emphasises graphical angles and straight lines. It was inspired by the layout of the first historic human dwelling consisting of four walls, a door and a hearth. The pieces from Megaron Collection stand out with their simplicity and the perfect craftsmanship hidden in the details. Each one represents the modern image of a form dating back thousands of years... UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The parrot ring is designed by finding the geometry of the forms in life, just like as the other House of DIV designs. This ring, which belongs to the Jungle Collection, is made of 925 sterling silver and is completely hand-crafted and hand-painted with enamel. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The designer worked with the first wax prototype to bring it in the most ergonomic way. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Design process started in April 2017 in Istanbul and finished in July 2017, and was exhibited in Premiere Classe Paris in January 2018. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: First, a parrot motif designed geometrically. After that 3D model has drawn. The ring made with 925 Sterling Silver and 14K Gold plated. The parrot has been enameled by local female artisans. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 14,5mm X 20mm X 20mm The ring size : 54 TAGS: geometric, contemporary, colorful, ring, unique, jewelry, jewellery RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The designer of House of DIV who interpreted the affected forms geometrically prepared the jungle collection by interpreting the forms of rose, leaves and parrots. CHALLENGE: The target of this design is that jewelry with geometric lines can be colorful and fun.
