| DESIGN NAME: Wilot PRIMARY FUNCTION: Ring INSPIRATION: The modern, fluid and stylish form of the ring comes from lotus flower that is symbol of purity, direct spiritual contact, love and compassion for all things and victory over attachement. As a ring it brings a very high positive energy to the user. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Wilot ring creates an interesting and curios perception by the fluid form. The ring is available in both gold and silver. Natural movements creates an interesting dance between the petals. The sinuosity of the forms and the ergonomic attributes of the ring present a fascinating play of light, shadows, glare and reflections. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This ring is designed for everyday wear and encourage the sense of thinking, reasoning and not simply disregarding the events and the world around. The eye-catching design will help the user feel herself very unique. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The ring was designed in January 2018 in Tehran/Iran. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: 18k white gold, produced manually using metal forging process. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 10 gr, Width of the ring is 20 x Depth 11 mm. TAGS: Ring, Wilot ring, Nima Bavardi, Jewelry, Lotus, Design RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We have always tried to design something unique and meaningful. Obviously there are lots of ideas behind each design and this is not any different. We did not want this ring to be just a ring, we wanted to design something that attracts attention and make people think about it beside functionality. God created the nature and me as a designer wanted to bring nature beaties into the ring. Many sketches has been done by me to simplify the complicated forms beside protecting its modern style and make emotional connection between Wilot and the user by design. CHALLENGE: The main challenge was to meet the market demand for jewelry in various forms of protective symbols, transforming the natural shapes to the organic ring with the same emotion, joining performance and aesthetics beside emotional connection between Wilot and the user.
