INSPIRATION:
The aim was to produce an attractive and at the same time functional armchair for public spaces and especially airports where there furniture most common is used for rest. Design is based completely on the spherical shapes.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This armchair has double function. It can be used either for sitting or resting. It is designed especially for airport vip lounges. Depending on your needs you can choose one of the two position. The upper bar is rotatble and can be used to attach electronic devices.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
The chair can switch positions - sitting and resting. The upper bar is rotatable and can be used to attach electronic devices.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
3 months, location Bulgaria.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
The metal bars are chrome plated or powder coated, steel legs, wooden half spherical part covered with leather. Internal zone - soft material plus velvet.

I'm absolutely in awe of the incredible work of "Galaktika" by Vasil Velchev! It's incredibly unique and modern, yet still manages to evoke a sense of comfort and elegance. It's an absolute masterpiece of furniture design and a true testament to their talent and skill. I can only imagine the amount of time and effort it took to bring this armchair to life and I'm so glad it has been recognised with the A' Design Award. Congratulations to Vasil Velchev for their achievement!

This incredible armchair design is simply astounding! I am absolutely enthralled by the beauty and functionality of Vasil Velchev's armchair design, Galaktika. I am absolutely in awe of Vasil Velchev's award-winning work, "Galaktika"! It is so impressive to see the creative solution for an armchair with double function, especially for airport vip lounges.
