| DESIGN NAME: Xinting Sales Center PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sales Center INSPIRATION: The Chinese birdcage is not only full of artistic beauty in its shape, but also carries abundant cultural significance. Handicraft, sculpture, lacquer art, totem etc. can all be adopted in the design of the birdcage which provide infinite inspiration to design. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The sales center is laid out symmetrically. By adopting the texture of the imperial city, it appears with great grandeur and inherits the architectural norms which have been lasting for thousand years. The immortal mountains and waters embody the ideal personality of the literati, which has been integrated into the project by the designer, so that people could enjoy both the scenery of mountains and waters outdoor, and the serenity as well as grace indoor. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The birdcage element in the traditional Chinese culture has been refined and been included into the Chinese style landscape. The mountain scenery delights the birds, whose singing makes the mountain more secluded. While the environment is permeated with scholarly atmosphere, the natural vitality cheers the heart up and pleases the feelings. The furnishings are exquisite in every detail with rich cultural implications, allowing repeated deliberation. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The ubiquitous birdcage elements are presented in the forms of birdcage screen, birdcage lantern, birdcage staircase, birdcage table, birdcage chair and many more. The birdcage-like screen is used for partition of space and makes the space more penetrating and natural. The birdcage-like chairs can be seen everywhere, looking elegant but also interesting. Some nice-looking trees and odd stones are occasionally placed in the space, which shows subtle beauty just like shielding the birds with tree leaves and curtains. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 925 Square Meters Project Area TAGS: Genesis Design, Interior Design, Sales Center Design, modern Chinese Style, Chinese Garden RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The project is named Mountains Beyond Mountains, which is located within Mayangxi Tourist Resort in Changtai County with rich scenery resources. By taking advantage of the vast woodland at the area of 1080 mu (equivalent to 72 hectares), C&D Realty has built its first boutique resort project by incorporating with the essence of traditional culture. CHALLENGE: After staying in the busy city for a long time, people would always be eager to look for a space to relax their bodies and minds, where they could enjoy the poetic satisfaction far from the hustle and bustle. The design highlights the Chinese cultural significance so as to help Chinese people to realize the desire of living within the cultural ambiance.
