| DESIGN NAME: ARC Caval PRIMARY FUNCTION: Leather Shoes INSPIRATION: The arche-type, the original pattern from which manifests a spectrum of designs: the Arc-collection, envisioned by the Architect, the creator of designs. ARC Caval is the blend of a stainless semblance with an invincible knightress spirit, and it is part of a wider spectrum of combining minimalism of geometric shapes with raw textures. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This design combines minimalist abstraction of art and geometry with the prestige of high-end fashion, and the classic of English heels. It further preserves the element of rawness in its execution manifested through the neat and delicate feel of the shoe and its overall look. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This design represents "slow fashion" through a combination of quality and novelty in abstract design. Slow fashion is a response to mass production that results in lower quality, often banal trends, and damage to nature (imagine all that synthetic waste). Hence, the shoes promote healthy consumerism using sustainable materials and further offers the exclusive feel of luxury to a larger audience of those sharing the values of slow fashion. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in March of 2017 in Istanbul, and the ARC collection was exhibited in the Aymod international shoes fair in April. The projected is still ongoing mainly through the online store and website. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: These shoes are handcrafted with Plane Jane construction and are made of Black Calf Leather, Italian Black Suede, Chemical-Free Leather Lining, and Leather Outsole. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Standard 37 European measurements and 0.65′′ Heel. NAME: Aielle PROFILE: Aielle is a slow fashion footwear brand. Designed and hand-crafted in Istanbul. Slow fashion is a response to mass production, which results in lower quality, often banal trends, and damage to nature (imagine all that synthetic waste). Aielle promotes healthy consumerism using sustainable materials. All products are Handmade in limited quantities and superior quality control. Healthy consumerism, however, is often out of reach. Hefty prices counteract the purpose. We believe slow fashion should be more affordable for the message of sustainability to truly spread. Hence we aspire to offer the exclusive feel of luxury dedicated to a larger audience of those sharing our beliefs. With Slow Fashion production, we look forward to creating bonds with our costumers. We aspire that our products are simply means to a greater end, and that this is just a start of a beautiful friendship. |
