| DESIGN NAME: Orchid PRIMARY FUNCTION: Spa INSPIRATION: Plotinus：The universe will never grow old. The fading of black is a silence , the sapphire blue light kept spinning ,the movement of the stars seems to be arranged by god.Human beings have always liked to look at the sky , man has a desire to explore the universe. When these elements are added to the space design, they add more mystery and different vitality. Designers use the simplest design elements, combine the sense of science and technology with artistic sense,let the customers feel themselves walking in the milky way. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project is an authentic Thai massage spa, but this space design has no Thai signature elements.People go to the spa to relax.Therefore, the designer starts from a new angle, and makes the spa space incarnate the nature/universe/star OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: We change the lights of the stars.It can change into red, blue, white, yellow, so let the consumer feel from winter, summer, spring and autumn color perception, resulting in a totally different experience of space. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in July 2017 in Nanjing and finished in September 2017 in Nanjing. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: In our design, the optical fiber is used to place the top of the space and create the effect of the starry sky.Optical fiber is a transparent glass fiber with a diameter of only 1~100μm.It is composed of inner core and glass tube.The refractive index of inner core is greater than that of glass tube.The light comes in at one end and is reflected on the interface of the inner core and the glass tube many times, and is ejected from the other end.The optical fiber is a mixture, which belongs to non-crystal.Space corridors and rooms have such products installed.Optical fiber refracts the light from the top of the LED light source, forming the visual effect of the top of the sky. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: In the design of this project, we used the optical fiber with a length of 180mm and a diameter of 100 μm.The light source is transmitted to the top of the space, making the light look like the sparkling starlight, making the space more charming and profound. TAGS: Starry Sky，Paint glass，Fantasy，Sp RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This project is a commercial leisure space, but we change the impression of traditional Thai massage by means of modern technology, so as to change consumers' consumption experience and habits.We simulate a vast universe with a variety of light-emitting fibers that can change color, allowing more consumers to feel like they are walking in the sky and enjoying the wonderful experience of consumption. CHALLENGE: In the process of construction, the reflection change control of star roof and environment glass is a difficult point.It's hard to make people feel the light reflected in the glass.But we also hope that the light in the glass can also reflect the attractive light.We have done a lot of experiments to adjust the light-emitting fiber LED light to the best, thus achieving the purpose of controlling the image in the black paint glass! Such an attempt to magnify the scale of the space is a lot of times, and the price of these materials is not high. NAME: NANJING REAL GROUP ARCHITECTURE PROFILE: This project is pure Thai essential oil spa.The project uses a lot of fiber and creates a starry sky at the top.Designers use the multilayer reflection effect to form a unique visual effect.This allows customers to feel immersed in the vastness of the universe, and creating different spatial experiences. |
