| DESIGN NAME: Round Backed Bench PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sitting INSPIRATION: The design inspiration derives from traditional chair and bench.In the traditional furniture culture,the traditional arm chair represents a serious culture of literati and is a symbol of rank and identity, with strict requirements on the user’s sitting position. The stool is the most common Chinese folk furniture, implying leisure, practicality and versatility. The design combines the two elements. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This design reflects the moder OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The arm stool has completely changed the traditional way of using the chair. Young people can have different postures according to their preferences, reflecting a relaxed and lively attitude to life. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The design and production lasted for 2months，which has been exhibited on the 40st China international Furniture Fair(Guangzhou) in 2017. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Wood , leather and metal are used as the materials. The traditional tenon structure is primarily used for the connection between components. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width 750mm x Depth 520mm x Height 800mm TAGS: Multifunctional Geconstruction RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The design of the chair is based on the modeling, structure of the traditional chair and the lifestyle of the modern young people. CHALLENGE: The challenge comes from the stability of the chair structure. To solve this problem, The traditional tenon structure is used and some key joints are wrapped in metal to enhance stability.
