INSPIRATION:

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Adding key features from the Brazilian modernism with a contemporary vision of production and consumption, the Cim chair emerges as a product that combines versatility, aesthetics, low cost and many possibilities of customization; Projected to disseminate a good design product to a more diverse range of users without resorting to the large-scale industry, has a structure and seat made in three options of brazilian woods and a fiberglass laminated backrest.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
It is a regular dining / work chair, which can be used in groups such as in restaurants and auditoriums or individually, such as home office or entry rooms.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
The research for the development of the Cim chair focused on understanding what marked the Brazilian design in the mid-century and adapt the solutions of the current Scandinavian furniture industry in a smaller-scale production, exploring the boundaries of shapes with fiberglass lamination.

CHALLENGE:
The biggest challenge was to unite the Brazilian design, with Scandinavian characteristics. Restricted by artisanal small-scale manufacturing processes.
