| DESIGN NAME: CEREMONY PRIMARY FUNCTION: Lighting INSPIRATION: Thanks for life, for all the moments we live and share and thanks for being able to feel” Ceremony reminds us to cherish every moment of life. Harmony, plainness and balance stand out in this combination of custom and popular materials with copper. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Ceremony lighting is made from metal , copper plated. The design is very simple, but the idea is fantastic. Getting good feelings with a simple design is a dream for a designer OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: After the skecth, we research the light capasity of the product and try to make something basic&chic. Design is a kind of reflection of northern lights. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: the product is a mix of hand made and technology. last five years, we saw lots of brass and metal colours. As in copper, this design can be used in every consept . SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: w:50 cm h:45 cm dimmeable TAGS: ceremony, lighting, ligthing design,boucollection RESEARCH ABSTRACT: when you design lighting products, it is a challenge to combine utility and beauty. as a designer I prefer to give a simple message to the last user, ' life is easy and beautiful. world is not a easy place and we cannot change our destiny, our country or our heritage but we can change the moments we live together. and these kind of designs help people to feel good and safe. CHALLENGE: the most challenging thing is not using led bulbs. to get these kind of shine, led bulbs is not suitable. so that we used dimmer to control the light. NAME: BOU DESIGN PROFILE: Concept of beauty is originated in ancient Greece with Plato. According to him beauty is independent from certain forms and time, it’s reflected in different forms and concepts. This has been the reference point for BOU, seeking refined forms and concepts inspired by universal beauty. BOU is established by architect Sebnem Buhara and Banu Coruh; targets to be a unique brand which presents contemprorary pieces and limited designs that add value to daily life. It has specific focus on details in all objects and art pieces in order to stimulate senses and inspire through design. Natural material such as marble, glass, wood, ceramic, leather and others convert into art pieces, lightning designs and furniture in BOU. |
