| DESIGN NAME: Camouflage PRIMARY FUNCTION: Brooch Earrings Cuff links INSPIRATION: I was interested in animals making camouflage in nature. They hide perfectly that people or other livings could not notice them. They were acting with their gifts every moment. By changing their appearance colors and structures.My personal direction is to find out how to express their ability of reflecting environments.By analysis nature animals behaviours and movements when they make living, to start creating my collections. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: These series of collections was developed by shapes of creatures movements.By recording and summarizing those shapes and lines to build up in 3D.Then make them wearable pieces. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Wearable jewelry pieces. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in september 2016 in Birmingham and finished in May 2017 in Birmingham.It was exhibited in The school of jewellery in Birmingham in June 2017. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: 3D printing,sodering,ca SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 3D print wax casting in brass and produce in final outcome. TAGS: brooch, earring, jewelry, cufflinks, plate, metal RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Photos from Aquarium, The British Museum, Nature History Museum, Nature museum in Shanghai and London.Specific in sea creature, insects, bones, appearance, skin, textures, patterns. And sketches as well.Collecting some nature background like trees and flowers as primary research. Because camouflage need to be adapting with environment. Taking photographs and sketches from museum in order to get my primary research. Watching video online about how animals camouflage in the nature and screenshoot them in process. Some professional photos about nature and predator living style. Secondary research took from online professional photos which are about how animals camouflage in the nature more vivid.
