DESIGN NAME: Clio S21
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Coffee machine
INSPIRATION: The Clio S21 coffee machine has been inspired by soft and delicate shapes, in order to give feelings of warmth and home comfort. The design is far away from the one of professional machines (as far as forms and dimensions are concerned) but it keeps the high ergonomy of more complex models, thus maintaining an elegant and captivating line.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Despite having curved and soft shapes, the S21 coffee machine still takes up the minimum space possible: the geometry keeps an ideal line, so the product could be put together with other home appliances on the kitchen table. It has simple and elegant curves. Ergonomics and user interaction are taken into high consideration: the handle on the top well communicate its function and invites the user to turn it; buttons are placed frontally, in order to maintain the most frequent interactions close to the person.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The S21 coffee machine simplifies home-made coffee preparation, while adjusting a number of functions to achieve optimal results.
It is equipped with the "automatic dosage" function, which allows the user to reprogram the coffee - or other beverage - length in three variables. There are also five modes of action: espresso, coffee, cream, tea, and infusion. For better jet accuracy, the cup holder is adjustable in height.
The automatisms of the S21 coffee machine are also designed to facilitate the expulsion of the exhausted capsule and to activate the stand by function. The latter in particular focuses on energy savings, with both economic and environmental benefits.
Last but not least, the tank can hold up to 8 capsules exhausted.
