PRIMARY FUNCTION: Admin office
INSPIRATION: Industrial units have two primary areas, first being the work floor and second being the administration area. an attempt has been made here to connect these two functions together visually while keeping the two physically segregated and separate from each other. The visual connect also helps tie a bond between the two labor forces that unites them visually and imparts a belonging to the entire production line.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Being an export house, the industrial unit has international visitors throughout the year, hence a visual connect of the work floor play dramatically on the minds of buyer where the can see a huge manufacturing unit the moment the enter the office are and the showroom area. the entire visual of a huge man force working on an equally large work floor imparts huge confidence in hte buyer that ultimately transforms into business.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The entry to the administration office is into a large reception area which houses only two meeting rooms, a large reception desk and stairs leading to the first floor office area.
the first floor is divided in three distinct spaces the executive cabins, work stations for junior staff and showroom for end product exhibition of buyer selection and orders.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was started in dec 2016 completed april 2017 is located in kundli industrial estate, sonipat, Haryana, India.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The flooring is done in vitrified tiles with painted walls made out gypsum partition systems and glass. The ceiling is left blank with dark grey paint and open services that adds to the industrial feel of the interior.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Extensive interviews with senior executives and work floor employees were conducted to understand if they would have any discomfort if the were able to see each other work, similar interviews were also conducted with buyers who were very positive about the interlined visual connection between the executive floor and work floor areas.
CHALLENGE: Connecting the two functions of the building visually and yet keeping them separate was the main creative challenge in this project. the entire placement was done so as to be not imposing on the work force and not creating a superior feel in the administration office was the next challenge.
