| DESIGN NAME: LaTable PRIMARY FUNCTION: Cafe furniture INSPIRATION: A splash of color in the garden or on the terrace of the finnish summerhouse, is the new table and stool collection of Vivero; and stacked they hibernate until spring calls again! UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: La Table is a table. LaTable is a stool. LaTable is a chair! Colourful range of furniture can also be used outdoors, pieces remain firm and steady on an uneven surface. Powder coating as standard finish, double powder coating for outdoor use. Designed and made in Finland. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The slightly flexible construction of the LaTable furniture makes the pieces easily adjustable also on an uneven surface. Simple forms adapt themselves to all environments. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: First protos were made during 2012-14. More spesific design was made in 2015. Production started in 2016. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Folded steel plate top attached to steel tube legs by screws (flta packed for residential customers) or by welding (projects). SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Stools 30 x 30 cm, height 45 cm. Chair 37 x 41 cm, height 78 cm. Square table 67 x 67 cm, height 74 cm. Rectangular table 137 x 67 cm, height 74 cm. TAGS: stool, table, colourful, cafe, outside, inside, stackable, steel RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We studied a the existing outdoor furniture markets and discovered that a simple ultra-scandinavian style approach is largely missing. CHALLENGE: Elements being very simple, the emphasis is in the details. For the best result this was constantly underlined. NAME: Vivero PROFILE: Vivero is a design conscious forerunner. The Vivero spirit, the justification of Vivero's existence, arises from the original and different design which has produced functional tools and real choices for clients and architects close to 35 years. Vivero is located in the design district of Arabia in Helsinki at most green end of Hämeentie, next to the nest of modern Finnish crafts and design, opposite the Annala Villa by the rapids of the Old town, the birthplace of the City of Helsinki. “Sailing also contains some typical and characteristic features of Finnish and Scandinavian design: Aside from the eternal pursuit of the aesthetically pleasing whole, there are functionalism, structuralism, considered use of materials, economy, understanding of the greater and lesser effects of what one does, commitment to the natural environment, the great presence of life, blood, toil, tears and sweat and the satisfaction born of success.
