PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential interior
INSPIRATION: The inspiration comes from the city lights and vibrant contrast of the streets. The client has a cosmopolitan and modern urban lifestyle. He travels all over the world and is passionate about asian style. There are many asian references in the design. The concept and final design conveys his lifestyle
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is a cutting edge interior where light is the main actor. The living room has a big geometry drawing made by LED lighting, all over the walls and ceiling. The lights evoke a huge cage, inspirired on cities. There is a perfect balance of contrast, between the space white colour and the vibrant colour palette of the furniture. Outdoor plants add colour to the space creating a beautiful harmony. Functionality and clean space is a must for him.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This is an opened space where living and dinning room are together but have their own independent zones. The kitchen is also on the same floor. The property has two floors that are connected with a staircase, the upper one contains the bedrooms.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: In order to produce the lighting cage LED technology was the choice. It gives the flexibility to accomplish it and to provide the functionality needed.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 300 sqm. villa, distributed in two floors. It has 3 bedrooms and a swimming pool.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The research was focus on outdoor elements, such as nests, natural cages and plants. Cities and asian references were another ocus on the main research in order to evoke the desired concept.
CHALLENGE: The biggest challenge was to evoke the huge cage in a functional and makeable way.
