| DESIGN NAME: WANT SOME ICE CREAM PRIMARY FUNCTION: 3D Animation INSPIRATION: It all starts from ice cream favored by girls. When the girl in the video strolling on the street, she accidently asked by a handsome guy who is selling ice cream. “Hey girl, want some ice cream?” Imagination suddenly influxes into her mind, making her struggle whether to eat ice cream or not. There are many advantages and disadvantages running in her mind, stopping her from making the choice to get the ice cream from the handsome clerk. First, it’s actually really hot in summer that she wants to not only chill down by eating some delicious ice cream but also have a chance to date with the hot,handsome,clerk. She also considers that the ice selling station is the hottest place to tag and post pictures on her Facebook and other web communities. That will not only get her a lot of attention from her Facebook, but also can make people jealous. However, the cruel reality she facing is that ice cream contains too much weight. She was just exercising in the gym yesterday and just finished her period. This situation is difficultly allowed her to eat icy things like that. All the harmful circumstances do really upset her to buy some ice cream. The delicious cuisine and the reality, which one will she choose? Our daily life consists of decision makings. Starting from being a student, facing a lot of choices and questions, sometimes it will keep us stay awake all night. With every decision, our mind go through a journey between to be or not to be. It is not that easy that a choice ends up it seems. We visualize Katie's thoughts into a ball, and each factor that makes her mind tangled composed into a virtual world. The story begins from Katie’s starting to hesitate. “To eat or not to eat”, it’s seem to be an endless question. This is the original concept of "Want some ice cream". Let us bring out the most abstract and mysterious moments, the struggle of mind in the human brain. Following Katie’s steps and start an adventure by the speeding ball inside her mysterious brain by the fascinating 3D animation. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This film applies the technology of 3D computer animation-making. This kind of technology can fully point out the abstract mind world which tangled in the actress Katie’s brain. Using visualized images and camera languages, the cute and fantastic icons can give an accurate metaphor of the abstract heart fighting situation. Thus, we design, research, generalize every possible elements happened in our real world, and transfer these factors into emotional and mind confessing language. Such like macarons with variety colors and flavors and sizes, the fantastic and dreamlike dessert world composed by all kinds of ice cream, cakes, and sweeties, the crowed fitness world which filled with lots of little elves working out hard and contains a lot of exercise equipment. There are also many metaphors of the main topic, “LOVE”. The whirling cups(symbolize the daze and rotation in love), the love ferris wheel, the fireworks, the charming and enchanting poses and gestures by handsome clerk, the pink atmosphere shows a falling-in-love predicament. Other factor is such as so called “Post and tag” world , this world give an image of attention from online friends and the happiness from receiving “thumbs”. The other factor is “so–hot world”, which is flooded with heat flow of oven and the sun and the thermometer, and the other world “memory world” with many memories pictures which symbolize the swallowed fat. The “cranberries factory” indicates period inside women’s body, also reminds the actress in the film that she shouldn’t eat ice cream. Finally, we use “marbles machine” to metaphor decision-making route. The pathing way go through all the following worlds. Rotating irregularly create an unknowing future. We want to express the intricate mind-thinking and start an adventure in human brain by the technique of 3D computer animation-making.
