DESIGN NAME: Jam Jar
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Putting
INSPIRATION: The production ande assemble of each component are mainly accomplished by extrusion method on the assemble line in factory indentity die property.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The jam jar is designed as an inclined bottom structure. When only a little jam left in the bottle at the bottom. Flowing to one side due to gravity,the jam will gathered at the special bottom which is designed to be suitable for the shape of common spoon. This make it possible for the jam to be fully extracted.The material is mainly glass. The bottle cap is designed as snap joint assemblies. The seal is tight, which allows the bottle to be repeatedly used, and this can saves the resources.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Place the jam in the bottle, spoon out the jam.The jam gradually reduce , gathering on one side of the bottom due to the tilt jar bottom. The bottom radians fit with the spoon radians so it can fully remove the remaining jam.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in January, 2017 in Shenyang and finished in September 2017 in Shenyang.It will displayed in May 2018 in the museum of LuXun Academy of Fine Arts in Shenyang.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: It adopt identity die property in the workshop, the bottle body adopts glass, and the bottle cap part adopts the rubber sealing ring The lock part uses the stainless steel metal. This bottle can be reused many times, which can protect the environment.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: On the basis of the existing jam jars, the jam jars are modified to make them more convenient to use ,more efficient and environmentally friendly ,which is coincide with the contemporary green design concept.
CHALLENGE: It is the biggest challenge in the design of this product that the title Angle of the product's inclined plane and the width height of the jam jar should be highly coordinated.We solved this problem through many calculations and experiments.
