| DESIGN NAME: urbeats silicone tips PRIMARY FUNCTION: Breathable INSPIRATION: People usually use capsule urbeats which will bring strong tension at the moment of plugging into the auditory meatus, cause eardrum discomfort, and harm eardrum after long term wearing. Thus, we propose the design concept of opening pore urbeats silicone tips which can solve the problem of tension to eardrum and can release pressure intensity of sound stage, adjust ambient noise. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: When plugging capsule urbeats into auditory meatus, there will form enclosed space bringing large pressure intensity to eardrum. This will cause discomfort and great damage to eardrum. Open pore urbeats silicone tips is designed with air pores in the inner wall which can balance the pressure inside and outside auditory meatus, avoid pressure difference. This can alleviate the tension and damage to eardrum and can also release the pressure intensity of sound stage, reduce stimulation. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Perforated urbeats silicone tips with multiple colors and opening pore modelling can be replaced according to user preference. It can dispel user's concern about eardrum tension and provide relaxed user experience. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in summer 2017 in Wenzhou, and finished in winter 2017 in Wenzhou. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: A certain number of air pores are designed on the inner wall of urbeats silicone tips, which can balance the pressure inside and outside auditory meatus, enrich the modelling style of urbeats silicone tips and make the urbeats more expressive. The material is silicon gel. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Product dimensions: 12mm*12mm*8mm Technical: by mold TAGS: urbeats, silicone tips, eardrum, pressure, open pore RESEARCH ABSTRACT: In nowadays society, people use capsule urbeats a lot such as listening to music, communication and watching movies. On one hand, capsule urbeats will cause discomfort. On the other hand, it will damage eardrum after long term wearing. The design concept of open pore urbeats silicone tips can improve these problems and provide more possibilities for the manifestation form of capsule urbeats silicone tips. CHALLENGE: How to deliberate the open pore area and position of urbeats silicone tips is the most difficult because it must consider auditory meatus conformable and guarantee the urbeats audio quality. Our team has obtained relatively reasonable achievements after several times' man machine data analysis and model experiments.
