RESEARCH ABSTRACT: While researching on ancient monuments, Rak seemed to be an appropriate form by having a great potential to turn into a modern design. Moreover by having detailed observation of museums’ interior Architecture, patterns were inspired from the Iranian elements such as tiles, piscina, etc. Immortalizing the rich culture and history of Iran in the body of a daily product was the main design goal.
With the participation of two textile designers, we made sure that the traditional patterns were properly transformed to meet the final format of a modern design.
CHALLENGE: Patterns (though designed to be applied in a modern format, patterns still demonstrate the essence of their source of inspirations)
