| DESIGN NAME: Living Wild PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: The clients, a young couple who like outdoor activities. They often go camping with their young son. Because of work, they settled in the city, but it is never an obstacle to their passion toward nature. They have lots of camping equipment, they are not only the daily necessities for them, but also the memories of adventures with the family. So the designer decided to display their precious collections, turning them into the ornament of the space, to presented the host’s unique taste. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The designers use the materials of stainless steel and veneer in the main area, to match with plants and decoration, showing the design concept "rigidity contained smoothness". The designer use the pure material to complete the concise space in proportion and vision. The hemp rope-droplight upon the dining table broke the original orders and made the space get wild and add little forest atmosphere. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: When walking through the entrance, there were a pitched roof design and an original concrete texture structural beam, the image is a metaphor for a little house in the mountain. Utilizing the straight pebble floor tiles, extending to the edge of the windows, the design was corresponding to the astonishing natural scenery. There was the high position, so you could see the ocean on a clear day! PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project is located in Zhongli, Taiwan. It is completed in 2017. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The entrance ground retro terrazzo floor tiles are common elements of old houses in Taiwan, and also a symbol of the nostalgia of culture, until today there are still many new houses will deliberately use the grindstone and modern style interspersed with design to increase the overall cultural heritage. With the clean and tidy stainless steel TV wall, the small floor space can also show magnificent momentum. And with the round shape of childlike transparent chair, create a sense of conflict beauty. This design cleverly intersperses new and old, stiffness and soft image, so that the space is more clearly layered. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The total area of the residence is 89.2 sqm. TAGS: Residence RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Open kitchen space with stainless steel, hemp rope chandeliers as the main body, creating a rough atmosphere, is an important space to gather the emotional exchanges between the family, it once again reflected the adventurous spirit of the host family. The multi-purpose room is full of green cabinets, combined with the cabinet and the bed, not only made the walls become the focal point of the overall home decoration, and also to compact space with exquisite object configuration capabilities. Double sliding door design of the multi-function room, can create a sense of indoor permeability, increase the flexibility of space use. For high-rise buildings with the high cost of land, this design has achieved the purpose of effectively using of land. CHALLENGE: Another highlight in this case is the multiple function room, built with glass wall. This idea did not only import the light from outside but also amplified the spatial effect. When pulling down the aluminum blinds, the owner could also enjoy the personal private space.
