PRIMARY FUNCTION: Cosmetics Packaging
INSPIRATION: The Clive project was born to be different, I did not just want to create another cosmetic packaging with common and high-scale products. I wanted to convey a little more than I believe in terms of personal care. Caring for our well-being requires a moment of peace and balance between body and mind. Thinking about it, I was inspired by some of the most paradisiacal scenery of nature and the world to make those moments even closer to the sensations of pleasure, happiness and great memories that those places bring to us.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Inspired by some of the most paradisiacal places in the world, each design and each aroma receives a unique characteristic. When thinking about packaging inspired by Hawaii, for example, the design makes home scent an object of decoration, with more tropical aspects and aromas that remind us of the beach, the sea and the waves breaking in the sand. In our daily lives, we need moments of relaxation and inner peace, so it was possible to bring the experience and good influence of those places in various products of this line.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The product and packaging were developed to give gifts, offer unique moments of well-being and decorate. What makes the product special is the interaction of your eye contact, tactile and olfactory. When looking at the product we can live a memory, when touching the packages we can feel the smoothness of the skin, and when we feel the aroma, we can feel happiness and well-being. Those aspects stand out in the interaction and are extremely important for a unique experience between you and the product.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was started in May 2017 and was completed in September 2017, in Brazil.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The visual aspects and concepts of the scents were considered to offer the sensation of skin care and well-being, so the outer packaging has a finish called matt soft touch lamination, which offers a soft and delicate touch as well as the skin human. With a printing technology, a small detail of the packaging received an aroma printed on the paper that together with other packages exude a delicate and sensitive aroma in the environment, making the product already more interactive and aromatic at the point of sale.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Before developing this project, I researched some elements and concepts that could inspire creativity. Some keywords were essential in that research, such as Paradises, Sensations, Memories, Art, Modern, Sophisticated, Moments, Versatility and Movement. My greatest inspiration was the natural beauties of our planet, both in color and their cultures. Because there are so many beautiful places, I could hardly have been inspired by just one place, nevertheless I sought the beauty of places like Hawaii, New Zealand, Greece, Africa, Brazil and Indonesia, unique characteristics that I represented through the design in specific lines.
CHALLENGE: My biggest challenge was to make packaging design compatible with the scents of products that had already been created. In order to have harmony between the design and the aromas, I made a cautious study of the chemical and natural compositions of perfumes, including olfactory tests, after which I was able to define which product line the aroma would be attributed to.
