INSPIRATION: The inspiration comes from an art gallery.White is simple and practical, very appropriate for the workplace. But, a workplace should not be a hall of stereotyped compartments filled with cold computers. It shall be people-oriented. So, the designer introduces sunshine, plants and wood to the workplace to create an environment of warmth, peace and sense of safety. People here would not only enjoy the interest of working, but also find a place of subsiding and communicating with their inner part.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This work is intended to create a shared office space for a design institute for a team of architects. By breaking through the limitations of interior space, the designer tries to create a free realm to interpret architects' professional value and taste. RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We have three researches in this project: the actual demands of the client, the technical requirements the old building, the new ecological environment of the offices. The first solution is to keep in touch with the client. The second one is to make repeated inspection of the building. The last one is to create an impressive atrium in the sky by getting through the floors. This creative design opens up the space, thus making the whole area more transparent.
CHALLENGE: This office is located on 4th and 5th floor, stretching over Building A and B. Longitudinally, it needs to punch the original floors and install the corridors to improve people’s interaction. Horizontally, office space is divided by the two building equally, and the 500mm dispersion between them increases the design difficulty. Finally, helping the 179 architects relax, designers systemize the areas of conference, reception, relax and storage in the office space with order.
