| DESIGN NAME: the frame PRIMARY FUNCTION: Kitchen INSPIRATION: Modernism (Modulor,Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe) and contemporary architecture and art ( John Pawson, Mark Rothko); Japanese craftsman simplicity and attention to details; Minimalism and timeless elegance of simple forms; Soft,cosy,earth colour palette (Zen, Hygge); Closed rectangular structure /shape reflect framed piece of art. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: a suspended kitchen, unlike most of the kitchens. it is hanging on the wall without touching the floor which optically increase the floor area with a help of built in LED, which emphasise the lightness. designed specifically for small apartments where it can become an important part of the living room combining the utility and elegance. kitchen allows an easy access to all stored goods by using exclusively the drawers, thanks to smart internal organisers from German brand Blum. dark grey surface with thin plywood edge underlines the delicacy. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Easy in operation thanks to Blum hinges PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: the project started in february 2017 in London, UK and finished in september 2017 FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Furniture Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: laminated birch plywood, stainless steel soft closing drawers SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: width 3750 mm x depth 650 mm x height 620 mm. it is a custom made kitchen and can be fit to any dimensions.
