| DESIGN NAME: Stack PRIMARY FUNCTION: Range Hood INSPIRATION: The overall goal of this project is to use air purification while optimizing energy consumption.Using Bionic techniques from the foundation and structure of the body, to the way this hood works, they all follow a natural air purifying system.The function of this product is like plants that absorb polluted air and deliver clean air to the environment instead. The appearance of the product is designed to be a reminiscent of the roots of the plants, in such a way that the relationship between the yield of the product and the plant root can be clearly visible. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: What makes this product unique is the power of purification and producing the exact amount of negative ions the room would need in the shortest time. Automatically restores optimal ambient air conditions.The hood consists of a large number of cylinders separated from each other, in which there is a ventilation system that draws air into the air and expels it from the top. However, in order to save energy Only those cylinders that heat them will only operate air purification and They will move up and down for better performance and more aesthetics. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: After installing this product to the ceiling or wall and connecting to power, this product is ready to use. For this product to calibrate with the new environment, it needs to be in the standard program for 10 minutes and afterwards, using the remote control or the app, the hood is ready to be used. The fan can be set to stay on a regular cycle or by touching the surface of the hood, you can change the speed to a desired cycle. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Using materials like stainless steel in grey and white colors and making the body smart by using advanced electronic circuits, using an advanced molding technology, attaching LED lighting to the structure in a complete automatic system, so it prevents dust and dirt. Coating the surface with a Nano and unteachable top coat, are paid very close attention to.It is worth mentioning that in some limited versions of this product, glass and wood are also used. CHALLENGE: Changing the mechanical structure of a regular kitchen hood, into a mechanical structure of a plant is the biggest challenge in designing this product and the second challenge was to make this product user friendly. NAME: Mostafa Arvand Design Studio PROFILE: Mostafa Arvand has been described as the most influential designer of his generation. He has worked across a wide range of disciplines, creating everything from furniture and household objects to medical devices. Mostafa’s award winning work is a testament to his quest for innovation and creating design solutions that improve the quality of life. Based in Tehran – Iran, he aims to continue his efforts in developing new talent and inspiring design thinking in the all around the world. Born in Iran, Arvand spent much of his childhood in North of Iran. He started experimenting with tableware design as a student and, after graduation, was working at a big company for 5 years. Arvand has lived and worked in Tehran, where he is now based, and he continues to travel widely. His clients include a broad range of the best known and most prestigious brands in the Iran – from manufacturing and technology to home appliance, medical and the luxury goods sector. Many of his designs have been a runaway success for his clients and have achieved the status of modern design icons. In addition, he was appointed 2015-2016 The Middle East product designer & achieve design thinking. His work is present in many major stores, hypermarket including the Middle East. |
