| DESIGN NAME: Escape PRIMARY FUNCTION: Smart Luggage INSPIRATION: Back in the days, traveling was synonymous for adventure, breaking free of the constraints of everyday life. Trunks were designed as mobile furniture, a part of our home enabling us to do on the road what you would have done at home. Fast-forward to today: it has never been easier to travel the world, yet we are limited in our movements by the electronics that we surround ourselves with. To regain that freedom we crave for, we must be able to do what we want, when we want and where we want. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: ROLLOGO is the brand for the new wave of tech-savvy travelers, inspired by a unification of intelligence and simplicity. Belgian designer Frederic Gooris designed ESCAPE, a premium smart luggage for eite travelers. ESCAPE is designed as a light, compact and contemporary on-the-go office. When you are not working, it generates its own power as it travels alongside with patented wheels. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: At a regular walking speed, ESCAPE can provide power similar to a 1A wall adapter. Therefore it's more eco-friendly to the Earth. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in 2015 in Belgium. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The world’s first and only patented electric generating spinner wheels while providing a light and smooth rolling experience. At a regular walking speed, it can provide power similar to a 1A wall adapter. These wheels are equipped with a suspension system that not only protects the wheels from hard drops but also makes going through rough terrains smoother.
