| DESIGN NAME: Creator C-500 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Pan handle folding design INSPIRATION: Through the pan handle folding design, we have effectively improved the utilization of kitchen space, so that people owning or renting a small house can have more space to use in their kitchen. The design for the pan handle can also be used for the design of the handles of other kitchenware. This design can effectively improve people's day-to-day lives. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: We have designed a collapsible handle that allows the cookware to be neatly stacked and become almost 'invisible' OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: 1. Hidden Pot Handle, Optimizing Utilization of Space The pot handle features a folding design, solid structure, and easy operability. Just hold the handle to pull it out and fold inwards for storage, placing the handle inside the pot. When the pot is filled with food, you can keep the handle in vertical position after covering the pot with lid. Both handle positions can effectively reduce the space occupied by the pot in the kitchen. 2. Steam Outlet/Water Inlet We have added a steam outlet, which also serves as a water inlet, at the connection point between the pot handle and the pot. A slight gradient allows the outlet to divert the dripping water back to the pot while draining excess steam, thereby avoiding overflow. When it is inconvenient to use your hand to open the lid and add water, you can use this outlet to conveniently add water in the pot. 3. Fixing the Pot Handle The handle’s folding design ensures pot stability while cooking food. The upward and downward loading increases safety while the two mobile card positions ensure precise positioning in the two fixed states. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in September 2017 in Xiamen and finished in November 2017 in Xiamen. |

After the pot handle is folded, we can have more space in a crowded kitchen and the pots can be placed more freely: stack them on top of each other or place crosswise with other kitchen utensils. CHALLENGE: In a small kitchen, efficient use of space is of paramount importance. Pots and other utensils occupy a great deal of extra space due to their long and fixed handles, making the kitchen congested and messy.
