DESIGN NAME: DXV Modulus
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Bathroom Collection
INSPIRATION: The design goal was to craft a modern luxury suite that highlighted an urban point of view and offered minimalistic yet functional design for master baths and powder rooms. We aimed for a warm, inviting vibe, emphasizing sleek lines and pure forms to appeal to affluent city-dwellers and high-end hospitality specifiers. A key objective was to provide maximum installation flexibility for residential and commercial spaces with innovative storage solutions showcasing unique material composition.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: DXV Modulus Collection is a dramatic achievement of functional elegance, and breathless style that serves without sacrificing. It offers infinite possibilities and endless configurations, in a range of materials and finishes, all from one modular and flexible system to enable you to design a space as unique as the people who use it.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The DXV Modulus suite is all about customization and modularity. We wanted to provide building blocks for the consumer to configure to the space and tastes they have. Points of customization can range from large design decisions to the smallest of details. Many times, the smallest details make the biggest impact. In our faucets, the ring is a point of personalization. Taking cues from jewelry and watch brands, we designed an exquisite line of rings with colored accents and textured finishes.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The DXV Modulus suite was developed over two years in the Company's industrial design studio in New York City.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: -
CHALLENGE: The Modern design era was a time of experimentation, of using new materials and finishes. We looked at great architectural icons such as the Glass House, the Lever House, etc., for their pioneering designs. This was our inspiration and starting point.
