| DESIGN NAME: Chaise Lounge Eros PRIMARY FUNCTION: Chaise Lounge INSPIRATION: Following the shapes of human body, this resting element evokes sensual art and is super comfortable and ergonomic. The flow of its curves try to inspire both the eyes and the senses towards sensuality or relaxation. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In the search of an ideal sofa for the ideal rest for relaxation of a quiet reading. This design was inspired in the natural forms of the human body and in the flow of its visual and aesthetic energy that provides a stimulating sensation towards sensuality and its structure and forms emulate a style of high luxury combined with a strong and warm personality, with great ergonomics and comfort. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The strong character of this unique sitting piece will attract all eyes and at the same time stimulates the impulse to sit down and enjoy a pleasant moment, as its ergonomics and comfort are perceived unconsciously due to its similarity to the organic forms of the human body in which its design is inspired. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The first Drawings and sketches were developed in the spring of 2015, but its development was carried out in the spring of 2016, but its development was carried out in different stages from May 2017 to November of this date. Going through the different options in drawings, after several studies and ergonomic tests, the final prototype, already efficient for the production, can be obtained. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The structure was built almost entirely in solid Tzalam Wood Reinforced in the interior with an aluminum substructure; it is finely upholstered in leather on memory foam cushions with a spare lower layer with high-density foam. The seams were made in silver thread to give more character to the piece. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Tzalam Wood, High Desnsity Foam, Premium Leather. L: 2100mm D: 600mm H: 730mm TAGS: Sensual Chair, Chaise Lounge, Design, Design sitting, Modern Furniture, Luxury Furniture RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Multiple drawings of the human figure are made to extract from it the suggestive contours that gave rise to this piece. An ergonomic study was also organized to guarantee that the comfort of using this chaise lounge was excellent. CHALLENGE: The smoothness of its lines and the slenderness of its parts represented a challenge in the development of engineering to make this design durable, after several attempts it had to develop an structure that without subtracting elegance provides sufficient robustness the carving of their completely organic silhouettes had to be carried out manually with great manual skill. As a multifaceted artist, he has a highly sophisticated vision in regards to what makes a piece of furniture special. His designs are made with pure, organic shapes, sometimes elemental but always evoking lavish experiences and associations. |
