| DESIGN NAME: Screws Office PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interior Design INSPIRATION: At the reception hall, the clear spiral lines, and the round recessed ceiling lamps demonstrate the uncultivated atmosphere. Meanwhile, the curved wall and grey glass in the meeting room lively display the image of screw thread, the design enlarging visual space and formulating smooth configuration. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: It is the office for a screw mold manufacturer, in which the designer starts the design plan based on the image of screw thread. The design idea inspired from screw head is brought into reality by constructing the curved wall in partial-public meeting room, screw-head style office, etc. so that the an interesting business space is brought into existence by presenting from the perspectives of nature, humanity, and functions. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The unpolished lounge area, the plant wall, and the bar bring to the staffs and clients most pleasant and joyful indoor space. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Designed creatively from the structure of screw head, the half-public office, storage cabinets and grey glass symbolize the core value of the company while establishing a bright and comforting business office in the meantime. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: This space is 156 square meters. TAGS: Interior Design, Office RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The composed atmosphere in the chairman office, in which the designer applied the characteristic of dark room, is decorated with grey glass so that the chairman may have both great perception to the office and moment for meditation. CHALLENGE: In this office, a specifically designed area is segregated by the art wall, which offers the chairman a wonderful place pondering business policy and strategy for the company. NAME: MEI Design Studio PROFILE: A architecture-loving-mother founded design company based its creativity on pure design and original thinking, guides and nurtures the team of young designers, creates an environment of courage.Founder Hsu Mei-lin had a few years of experiences in architect firm before she changed her job and started up architecture-interior-design based studio due to family issues. In the beginning, it was just about reading, drinking coffee, and more reading and more coffee, the interior design came much later: residences, shops, offices, and the single family mansions architectural design is the project of recent years. The studio now consists of professionals in architecture, interior design, and visual communication. Projects are based on discussions on breakdowns of works. Starting from the original point and being persistent on quality and elegant presentation, the ambition is to realize our new creation in a more courageous form. |
