DESIGN NAME: Artistic Private Mansion
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential
INSPIRATION: This is a real estate case built in the new Metropolitan area of North Taiwan.
Based on the scale of the space and the style of first floor, we assumed that the owner is a successful person which full of experience and lifestyle, so that it is comfortable and full of vision.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: There are no specific members in this space, therefore designer designed this home by reckoning the target consumers. Each public area owned independent field although they are opened area. Besides, it echo with the exterior view, and become a secret base that can be share with friends in the city.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: In order to invoke the advantages of the vision of environment, the planning of public areas are private but combine with each other. Living room, dining room and kitchen are at the same axis. Multi-functional areas are in series, so that the spatial visual scale is more extensive. Because of no substance partition, door arch of entrance, furniture and lightning design as the space boundaries. The detail of materials, colors and lightning creating vision layers, infuse artistic atmosphere into space.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Ceiling, furniture, cabinet and some of the facade used wooden elements, which inputting humanity and warmth into the space. However, marble as the material to television main wall and wall of dining room as the focal point of space. The television wall has also infused mirror and wooden material into it, so that the hard heavy feeling of marble can be decrease. Three different materials and color creating different layers.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The interior space is about 70 feet. As the design sample and living space of potential customer or future owner, there are no extra changes had been made. The point of design is make good use of the scene, maximize space, enlarge space advantage, and modify abrupt structure.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Our faith is maximizing design under the basic of living demand. This case started from infusing life style and preference of modern people, provide comfortable wide vision, moving lines and configuration, which can easily feel the intimacy between urban environment and interior design. Design team hope to shape artistic atmosphere for future owner. Therefore, an Origami-like three-dimensional smallpox with stone veins that can be seen clearly exudes artistic atmosphere.The ach inlaid with mirror separate entrance and public area, it is also the necessary technique of endure the beam limitation of space. The television main wall can immediately attract vision, this is because designer deliberately select marble with V-shaped pattern. Besides, designer uses gray mirror on both top and bottom side to avoid the humble feeling of marble stone wall.Designer had been to Cotes du Rhone to visit Le Clos du Caillou wine village, and left a deep impression of the gem-like grapes. So, he hopes that he can pay tribute to French nature style by this design.Façade of dining room uses marble material, in group with dendrites like spherical lighting which is on top of the dining table and reflection of bird-resting-shape light from study room, just like the scene gem-like grapes, and birds are resting on certain distance, brings in elegant artistic atmosphere and full of fun mood.
CHALLENGE: In the large opened-space, concise way shows the generous momentum of house through easy design technique by design team. In order to let the whole space more visually abundant, design team choose materials with natural pattern. On the presentation of living and dining room’s façade, we look for the stone material which can assort with the whole space temperament, and have pattern and color that can make deep impression. This is the design process that spend most time and idea.
