PRIMARY FUNCTION: Armchair
INSPIRATION: It is inspired by Japanese design, where the simple and minimalist edges prevail, the construction takes place in a simple but precise way, valuing the alterations of the volumes in a fusion format.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: It is an armchair for domestic or corporate use, made of steel coated with wood and linen fabric, the cutting of the parts is done in laser and the wood coating is cut with a water jet, and the applique is done manually .
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: It is an armchair of conventional use, without any type of transformation or adaptation, it interacts like any furniture of loose use.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project began in June 2016 and concluded in October 2016, all processes in Bento Gonçalves, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The armchair is made in steel cut with CNC laser technology, as well as cutting the water jet base on the wood veneer and manual overlay, traditional upholstery.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The research was carried out on classical and contemporary furniture and Japanese architecture, where the simplicity and minimalism of the traits prevail over the volumes, leaving the edges to stand out in the final result.
CHALLENGE: The main challenge was to achieve stability, ergonomics and a good effective result, respecting the original proposal of a thin and thin piece, with an apparent lightness in a timeless design.
