DESIGN NAME: 3,2,1 PLOVE
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Swimwear
INSPIRATION: Inspirational sources result from experimental architecture and conceptual art, which has a close relationship to nature and actual climatic aspects. Human, present in its natural and artificial environment is the embodiment of always different needs for clothes. In the field of swimwear design, this brings me to the necessity of specifying its purpose and function more accurate. The examination in conceptual, material and processing levels is objectified in the new concepts of swimwear design.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The swimwear as synthesis of material and form
The diploma project by Pavlína Miklasová called 3,2,1, PLOVE! is a result of a long-term process in the visual, technological and social-cultural respect. I focused on several possible manufacturing technologies and approaches. I also think about traditional and innovative ways. I reach an aesthetical and a functional contrast by combining handwork and technical materials.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The motivation of my thesis resulted from the beginning from my desire to deal with new possibilities in the particular area of swimwear design, which I would like to focus on in the future as well. My goal was to cover both the history of the material used for swimwear production and the current tendencies and possible future transformations or functions of this piece of clothes.
