| DESIGN NAME: Folding Toilet PRIMARY FUNCTION: Toilet INSPIRATION: The property price is more and more high in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen of China ect., more and more people have to live a small space. how to make the spcae or the objects to be multifunctional is the important reponsibility for designer. The sanitaryware case appears to be a neat cuboid which can be divided into three parts. The lower part is a foldable toilet bowl, the middle part is a retractable washbasin and the upper part is an electronic make-up cabinet and mirror. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is an all-in-one multifunctional sanitaryware Case. It is a foldable,space-savin OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: To use the Sanitaryware Case, first rotate the handle at the side to make the toilet bowl reach horizontal level. This design can control the rotation of the toilet bowl and at the same time can be used as an armrest. It can also be used to place essential items for modern citizens, for example, cell phones, books and magazines. There is a flushing button at the bottom of the handle while the button at the side controls the retractable washbasin. After washing your hands, the waste water will go into the water tanks at the sides and be reused during flushing. The mirror on the top is an electronic smart mirror with a space for storage at the back. You can adjust the brightness of the light attached using buttons on the cabinet. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The Folding Toilet is starding at October 2016 in Hong Kong, and finished the design in March 2017. now, the project is yet to be realized. |

CHALLENGE: it was a challenge to ensure it is feasible and safe when the toilet bowl was folded up for this design.
