RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
An objective was clear from the very beginning: empower kids at home and give a creative response to the daily actions to get the room tidy. In order to link duty and playing, we write down two lists, on one hand, things to do in the kid room and on the other hand, ways to play. Then we started a brainstorming using one or more items from the two lists. After gathering all the ideas, we came up with more new concepts, until we got a conceptual draft of LEFUN module. Then we started sketching and computer modelling to get the right proportions.

CHALLENGE:
The creative challenge was to create a character from a simple storage cube, a character that was attractive to kids and also esthetically could get into the kid room and create a good environment. The other challenge was to present a boring thing such as picking up the toys in a fun thing. Definitely, is not the same to pick up the toys on your own than pick up the toys with the help of an elephant which you can carry by pulling his trunk.

NAME:
MENUT

PROFILE:
Menut is a design studio formed by Daniel Ortega and Maria Baldó and focused on children design, with the clear objective of gapping the bridge with the one for adults. We tackle new challenges regarding design for kids. Our philosophy is to oger an innovative vision on the way of life of a contemporary family: we design original children furniture able to coexist with everyday objects. We look for objects that last in time and are interesting to everyone, no matter what their age. For an adult, it is not easy to remember how they used to see the world when they were little, when everything was a discovery. However, from time to time, we find products to interact with that make us smile.
