| DESIGN NAME: Convenience PRIMARY FUNCTION: One handed bottle INSPIRATION: The hand disabled will face much inconvenience in their daily life. For example, it is difficult for them to open the top of laundry detergent when washing clothes. The existing detergent top is just designed for common people. To solve this problem, we have designed Convenience for those hand disabled people. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The bottle top of ordinary laundry detergent needs to be opened by two hands.It's difficult for the hand disabled to use .Convenience is designed for the hand disabled.We improved the design on the basis of ordinary pressure suction mechanism.Thus the detergent can be stored in the bottle top temporarily when pressing the bottle top.You can easily use it with one hand. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Convenience is a laundry detergent bottle,with a lid that has a storage function. The process of use is very simple.Everyone can do it with one hand.You can press the lid with one hand to squeeze the laundry liquid into the lid, then pick up the lid and pour the laundry detergent into the dirty clothes, finally put the lid back in place. At the same time,we give it an elegant shape to make one armed people use more comfortably. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Plastic bottles are mainly made of polyethylene or polypropylene and other materials added a variety of organic solvents，through blow moulding in a certain temperature and pressure. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width 100mm x Depth 160mm x Height 290mm TAGS: Bottle ,Laundry Detergent , One-armed people, Universal Design , Daily supplies RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Initially, through the study of universal design,we found many items in the life are not suitable for one-armed people. A lot of problems arise after the brainstorming.By analyzing,we decided to redesign the laundry detergent bottle , to make one-armed people easily use. CHALLENGE: There are many different shapes of laundry detergent bottles on the market.But most of them are designed for the normal. How to make one-armed people can easily use the laundry detergent through a simple structural design is the biggest challenge we encountered.
